Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is used to accomplish goals such as decreasing stress and anxiety, relieving tension related headaches, reducing muscle tension, enhancing athletic performance, improving posture, and decreasing chronic pain. Your appointment may include a combination of modalities such as Myofascial Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, and Swedish Massage. Myofascial Therapy is the modality used most often at this office. It focuses on releasing restrictions in the body's connective tissue (also known as fascia). This connective tissue wraps around the muscles and bones, and sometimes restricts their full potential for movement. The therapist applies slow, deep pressure, feeling the movement of tissue below the touch. Myofascial Therapy increases resiliency, flexibility, balance, and awareness.
